Shirley Bradberry, Director of Client Services, was honored with a trophy for 32 years of service at the High Heels for Hot Meals Golden Anniversary.  Jackie Hamm, CEO, emotionally shared how profound an impact Shirley has made to the community through her committment and genuine love of our Meals on Wheels clients and volunteers for over three decades.  Thank you, Shirley for your dedication and compassionate heart.
The 2017 High Heels for Hot Meals Golden Anniversary goes down in the books as the most successful one yet! 
Final numbers are not in, but Meals on Wheels will receive between $55,000 - $60,000 thanks to the support of sponsors and guests who attended.  This is at least $10,000 higher than ever before! 
Over 300 community supporters attended the event, participating the various activities such as Shoe Garden Bidding, Live Auction, Signature Drink Raffle, and Casino Play.  MC and Auctioneer Chris Cunningham introduced Board Chairs and community leaders to toast THE Kitchen's 50th Anniversary and encouraged participants to donatwe generously during our auction. 
Shirley Bradberry, Director of Client Services for Meals on Wheels, received a Recognition Trophy for 32 years of service feeding our community. 
DJ Marcus kept the party going throughout the night and helped promote participation with our Shoe Cam donated by KFDX.

ROMA YOKLEY Named Volunteer of the Year

The 2017 Meals on Wheels Volunteer Appreciation Dinner was held April 13th, at The Red Door.  Over 150 volunteers attended, enjoying BBQ prepared by U.S. Olympic Chef Sean Daniels and Crew.
Volunteer of the Year is ROMA YOKLEY. She is 93 years old and has delivered MEALS for 17 years!  Thank you to all of our volunteers for all that you do!
